Ruby
Ask better questions, live on every call

What it does
Ruby is an AI assistant that listens to your calls in real-time and suggests the right question to ask at the right moment. It runs on your own Claude subscription, transcribes the conversation, and provides live prompts without joining as a bot or being visible to the other party. After the call, it can also generate notes and recaps.
Who it is for
Ruby is designed for professionals who rely on high-stakes calls: founders, product managers, account executives, recruiters, and anyone whose success depends on asking the right question in the moment. It is especially useful for sales calls, hiring interviews, customer discovery, and investor meetings.
Why it matters
Traditional notetakers only tell you what happened after the call. Ruby helps while the call is still happening, preventing the common regret of thinking of the perfect question too late. By providing live suggestions, it improves the quality of conversations and helps users stay engaged and prepared.
Launch signal
Ruby launched on Product Hunt and is available for download on Mac (macOS 14.4+). It requires a Claude Code subscription (the terminal CLI, not the desktop app). The website offers direct download links for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
Brand and naming
The name 'Ruby' is short, warm, and memorable, but it lacks direct connection to the product's core function—live call assistance. The domain ruby.codeongrass.com is not ideal; a dedicated domain like ruby.ai would be stronger. The tagline 'Ask better questions, live on every call' clearly positions the value proposition, and the website effectively explains the problem and solution, making the brand's purpose easy to grasp.
